The Kings limp into this one likely without three of their top players , including PG De’Aaron Fox and former Pacers PF Domantas Sabonis.
Rookie PG Davion Mitchell has stepped up in Fox’s absence. The ninth-overall pick in last year’s draft scored a career-high 28 points in the Kings’ last game, a 127-124 overtime home loss to the Phoenix Suns. The Kings have lost three in a row and seven of eight.
The Pacers have played a little better since acquiring a couple of shooters in the backcourt to replace Sabonis before the trade deadline. They have won two in a row and are 4-5 in their last nine outings.

Against the spread
BET the KINGS +5.5 (-120) FOR A HALF UNIT, or you could wait until closer to game time in hopes of getting +6 or better.
Albeit with Sabonis in the lineup, the Kings took the Suns to overtime Sunday and almost knocked them off. This is a scrappy team that also posted 126 points in a nine-point home loss to the Milwaukee Bucks three games ago.
As bad as the Kings have been on the road (9-25), they’re actually 15-18-1 ATS on the road this season and 5-3-1 ATS across their last nine games overall.
The losses of Fox and Sabonis will ultimately be their downfall, but it gives Mitchell freedom to run the offense. They’ll be hungry from the 3-point line, which should help them cover the spread here.
Over/Under
UNDER 234.5 (-107) is an attractive play.
The Kings are eighth in pace of play in the league, but a lot of that is due to the speedy Fox running the show. Mitchell will have to slow things down to and be pragmatic with the offense. The Pacers are 19th in pace of play, and this figures to be a grind.
The Under is 5-2 in the last seven head-to-head meetings between these two when playing at Indiana and 9-4 in the last 13 overall.
The Kings and Pacers met in early November with the Pacers claiming a 94-91 victory, almost 40 points Under the O/U line of 224.5.
