The Rockets-Suns game tips at 7 p.m. CDT and can be viewed or streamed via AT&T SportsNet Southwest and NBA League Pass.
Led by All-Star guard Devin Booker, the Suns (55-14) enter with the NBA’s best record and are clear favorites over the rebuilding Rockets (17-51), who currently own the league’s worst record. With only 13 games left in their 2021-22 regular season, Phoenix owns a massive advantage of 7.5 games in the race for the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference and home-court advantage throughout the 2022 playoffs.
But Houston was lively for the majority of its last four home outings, which included wins over Memphis and the Los Angeles Lakers, along with a close overtime loss to Utah. The growth shown in recent weeks by rookie guard Jalen Green, taken at No. 2 overall in the 2021 NBA draft, seemed to have a strong correlation with the improved results.
It’s a tall order for Green and the young Rockets to take down the league’s best team, but they are at home on Wednesday, and they enter having not played since Sunday. Phoenix, on the other hand, will be on night two of a road back-to-back after playing Tuesday in New Orleans.
