In maybe the least shocking news of the day, Alabama head football coach Nick Saban has been named as college football’s top coach by Bruce Feldman of The Athletic.
Feldman released his list of the top 25 college football head coaches (subscription required) earlier on Tuesday.
There really isn’t any argument that can be made for anyone else to hold the title of the top head coach in college football. Saban has won seven national championships as a head coach, more than any other coach all-time.
Joining Saban inside the top ten are fellow SEC coaches Kirby Smart (Georgia) No. 3, Brian Kelly (LSU) No. 5, and Jimbo Fisher (Texas A&M) No. 7.
Mark Stoops of Kentucky came in at No. 15 while Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin finished at No. 17.
