Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman once again affirmed his support for quarterback Jalen Hurts, telling the media at the NFL Combine, that “there’s no doubt about it” when asked about his status as the starter heading into 2022.
Hurts had 3,144 yards passing and 16 touchdowns in 2021, while also rushing for 784 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.
The Eagles have the 15th, 16th, and 19th overall selections in the 2022 draft, and Roseman insinuated that instead of using some or all of Philadelphia’s three first-round draft picks to obtain a quarterback, the team will look to use its assets to build around Hurts.
Hurts has made just 20 starts in his young career and if he can improve his accuracy and progression, Philadelphia could be a perennial playoff team for years to come.
