Kenny Pickett might be ‘best fit’ for Broncos among 2022 QB prospects

NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah believes Kenny Pickett is the ‘best fit’ for the Broncos among this QB’s in this year’s NFL draft.

NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah held a conference call last Friday to discuss key prospects in the 2022 NFL draft.

Jeremiah believes Pittsburgh’s Kenny Pickett is the most ready to start in the NFL among this year’s QB class.

“Pickett has got a lot of experience,” Jeremiah said. “He to me is somebody when you watch all these guys and you kind of watch them all one after another, he’s just different with how quickly he operates, just getting through progressions, getting the ball where it needs to be.”

When asked which QB in this year’s class would be the best fit for Nathaniel Hackett’s system with the Denver Broncos, Jeremiah stuck with Pickett.

“I would probably say Pickett,” Jeremiah said. “Matt Corral is really intriguing, but I would say with how they operate and what they want from the quarterback position, I would probably lean towards Pickett as fitting them best.”

While Pickett is believed to be the most pro-ready and the best fit, Jeremiah dubbed Liberty’s Malik Willis as having the most upside.

“This guy can really power the football,” Jeremiah said of Willis. “He can make off-platform throws. He can create.”

Broncos general manager George Paton scouted Pickett, Corral and Willis in person last fall. Denver currently has 11 picks to use in the NFL draft, including ninth overall in the first round.
