It seems like it’s the same old song and dance for former Irish star Kyle Hamilton and his NFL Draft stock. The majority of outlets believe that he is the best player in the secondary and the second-best defender behind Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson.
This time it was NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah, who projects Hamilton to land in Houston with the third overall selection. He notes that there is potential for the Texans to trade down but “if they stay here, Hamilton’s versatility and playmaking ability would make a lot of sense.”
It was almost a forgone conclusion when Hamilton burst on the scene as a true freshman that he would go early in the draft. Now that the time has come, it seems like we were all correct in that assessment.
