WATCH: Texas target Johntay Cook hauls in amazing one-handed grab

Johntay Cook makes an unreal catch during the Las Vegas 7-on-7 event.

After missing out on multiple big names at wide receiver in the 2022 recruiting class, Andre Coleman is out and Brennan Marion is in as Texas’ wide receivers coach.

He will be tasked with building up a receiver room that is as top heavy as they come, as Xavier Worthy, Jordan Whittington, and Wyoming transfer Isaiah Neyor are the only proven receivers on the roster.

The good thing for the former Pitt receivers coach is that he is now surrounded by talented pass catchers all over the state of Texas, with one of the best being four-star Johntay Cook II.

The DeSoto product has hauled in 81 catches in the last two seasons for close to 1,500 yards and 29 touchdowns.

He has been flirting with the Longhorns a lot recently as he had a very misleading tweet on Saturday, and was spotted wearing Texas gloves at the Las Vegas 7-on-7 tournament.

That wasn’t the only reason Cook made headlines at the event, as he also made a fantastic one-handed catch that has programs everywhere salivating over him.

Texas is among Cook’s final seven schools with programs like Alabama, Clemson, and in-state rival Texas A&M.
