In his first season with the program, freshman point guard Chucky Hepburn has provided a veteran-like presence for the No. 11 ranked Wisconsin Badgers. His calling card has come on the defensive end, and by taking care of the basketball (1.6) AST/TO ratio.

Now, the Nebraska native appears to have added another element to his game. Over his last nine games, Hepburn is shooting 43.3% from beyond the arc (13-of-30). Which is a far cry from the 24.3% (9-of-37) he shot in Wisconsin’s first 11 games.

The freshman point guard has continued to push the pace and orchestrate the Badgers offense, and generate open shots for his teammates. However, his recent improvement in 3-point shooting has helped this offense tremendously.

For the season Hepburn is averaging 7.3 points per game (5th on the team), 2.1 rebounds, 2.0 assists (3rd on the team), and is tied for the team lead in steals (24).
