For the first time in program history, Auburn is ranked No. 1 in the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll.
The Tigers share the top spot with Gonzaga after both teams received 16 first place votes and 16 second place votes, giving each 784 points.
Auburn moved up from the second spot after beating Missouri 55-54 on Tuesday and Oklahoma 86-68 on Saturday in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. The wins extended Auburn’s winning streak to 17 games, which will be tested Tuesday night when Auburn faces Alabama in Auburn Arena at 8 p.m. CST.
