Wizards’ Isaiah Todd issued suspension for detrimental conduct

The Wizards announced that Todd has been suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team.

On Friday, the Washington Wizards announced that rookie Isaiah Todd has been suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team.

Todd, who was the 31st pick, is currently on assignment in the NBA G League with the Capital City Go-Go. The team did not specify the reasoning behind the suspension but announced he will serve it for the Go-Go’s game on Friday against the Ignite.

The 20-year-old has played sparingly with the Wizards this season after making just nine appearances. He has spent much of the season with the Go-Go and is averaging 13.9 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists on 35.8% shooting from 3-point range in 20 games with them.

Despite the suspension, the Wizards believe Todd has a bright future in the league and they will continue to ensure he has a smooth rookie campaign this season. The situation will certainly be a great learning experience for Todd as they will now look to move on from it.
