While we wait for Jim Harbaugh to figure out what he may or may not do in regards to a Michigan extension or depart for the NFL, another Wolverines coach looks to be garnering NFL interest.

Harbaugh got defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald from his brother John and the Baltimore Ravens a year ago, as Macdonald was serving as the linebackers coach and likely defensive coordinator in-waiting, and there appears to be a chance that John may want him back.

The Ravens unexpectedly fired DC Wink Martindale shortly after their season ended, and now Macdonald is mentioned as a candidate to return to the organization that made him, according to Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Preston.

Regardless of what Jim Harbaugh does, the Wolverines need to work to retain Macdonald, given the quick turnaround his defense made once he took the helm.
