We’ve already heard about how Uncharted nearly broke Tom Holland, but now there’s video proof of his soon-to-be-legendary tumbles.
In a new featurette, the Spider-Man: No Way Home star talks about how physically demanding Uncharted was to film. Unlike Spider-Man, Holland did the vast majority of his stunt work, mainly because he wasn’t wearing a mask. Every on-screen thwack and summersault pack a little extra oomph of authenticity.
Particularly the cargo plane scene ripped straight out of Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, where Holland ate a few giant bluescreen cubes while on set. It’s pretty wild, so make sure to check it out below.
Don’t try this at home.

Curiously, there appears to be quite a bit in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception influence on the movie. The poster even mimics the game’s original PS3 cover art. Interestingly enough, the director of Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation said the airplane sequence in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception influenced his film as well.
Time will tell in a genuine Uncharted film will do it better, but first, the movie needs to prove if it’s a decent video game adaptation. We’ll find out for sure when Uncharted comes to theaters on Feb. 18, 2022.
Anyone looking to brush up on the series would be wise to check out the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection dropping on PS5 this Friday.
