There might not be a definite release date for God of War Ragnarok yet, but Sony is confident it’ll come out in 2022.
Over on PlayStation’s website, a new blog post goes over several big games for people to look forward to this year. Titles like Horizon Forbidden West and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will release pretty soon, while Ghostwire: Tokyo and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will release at some point in 2022. God of War Ragnarok is among the latter, which means it (hopefully) won’t slip to 2023.
While it’s not an outright confirmation, Sony likely wouldn’t have included God of War Ragnarok were it not still on track. Rumors even suggest it’s due out in the fall.

If you need something to tide you over until then, God of War’s new PC port is bloody brilliant. It’s already the most played and highest-rated game Sony’s had on Steam. Director Cory Barlog isn’t sure if the sequel will make it on PC, though.
God of War Ragnarok suffered a significant delay last year after Kratos actor Christopher Judge took time off for personal reasons. Barring nothing else stalls development, we should find out if the sequel lives up to the hype soon.
