Fans around the NFL are not very fond of the game plan from the Philadelphia Eagles. For reasons unknown to most, the Eagles decided not to target their most talented offensive weapon in Alabama rookie wide receiver DeVonta Smith.
The Eagle’s offense struggled for most of the contest in large part to their inability to get Smith the ball. Former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts was making his playoff debut and not involving his best weapon early and often will have fans scratching their heads for days to come.
As you can imagine, fans took to Twitter to express their disbelief.
Finally devonte smith 😌

It’s almost like the Eagles should’ve utilized Devonte Smith more. #FlyEaglesFly #TampaBayBuccaneers

That’s what Devonte Smith can do with the ball in his hands. Should’ve been more of the game plan early on

Devonte Smith should’ve been getting the ball ALL GAME!!!

Devonte smith deserves better

It just did not seem like the Eagles had a game plan to get DeVonte Smith involved. They only threw the ball to him under duress. Smh.

The @Eagles clearly had a game plan to not throw to #DevonteSmith, thinking the @Buccaneers wouldn’t let them… but the #Bucs are playing 10 yards off and the #Eagles refuse to throw him the ball. I just don’t get it. Maybe Nick Siriani has other plans for next weekend? #nfl

It blows my mind that the eagles don’t do everything they can to get the ball in Devonte Smith’s hands.

Devonte smith need to go to a team where they gonna throw him the ball at all cost he too good not to be getting the ball thrown too
