The future looks bright for the Ohio State basketball team. Four-star point guard, Bruce Thornton, is primed to head to Columbus next year but has some unfinished business to tend to in high school before making the transition.
Thornton’s Milton (Ga.) high school team played in the Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions in Springfield, Missouri over the weekend where they took home third place over Chicago’s Whitney Young high school. The bigger story was Thornton who dropped 34 points in the win.
The game’s leading scoring almost equaled Whitney Young’s entire output as the Dolphins only scored 37 total points. In case you’re wondering, Whitney Young is no slouch either, boasting multiple D1 players including AJ Casey who has committed to the Miami Hurricanes.
Take a look at the incoming point guard, who looks to be one of the top scorers in the country.
