Russell Westbrook responds to Kings trolling him every time he missed a shot

Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook clapped back at the Sacramento Kings for trolling him throughout the game.

Los Angeles Lakers guard Russell Westbrook has hit a rough shooting patch lately, and that persisted Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings.

Westbrook, the former MVP in 2017, mustered eight points on 2-of-14 shooting overall, just barely hitting the 14% mark. He missed all five of his 3-pointers, too, including one late in the game that sealed the Lakers’ chances at cutting into the deficit.

NBA Twitter went all in on Westbrook’s rough two-way display, but that didn’t stop there. The Kings’ game operations also went at Westbrook and trolled him throughout the game when he missed his shots, playing “Cold As Ice.”

The Kings also labeled him the “Ice Cold Player of the Game” (h/t: The Action Network):

Westbrook responded to the Kings after the game:

“That’s funny. I hope they played that the last 14 years too. That’s funny they play it now. That’s cute.”

The Kings haven’t made the playoffs in 15 straight seasons, which is tied for the longest streak in NBA history. Sacramento currently has a 17-27 record, which would make it 16 straight seasons if that win pace continues.
