Jerry Hughes expresses uncertainty about Bills future

Jerry Hughes discussed his future with the #Bills this week:

Defensive end Jerry Hughes is the longest-tenured player on the Buffalo Bills. This weekend is a game he’s waited some time for.

But Hughes, 34, is a free agent after this season.

That certainly does not mean he will be on his way out. There is still plenty of time to talk about the future and perhaps he can provide another solid year or two for Buffalo.

But nothing in life is guaranteed. Hughes knows that and one of the things falling under that category is potentially winning with the Bills before it’s all said and done. That’s a goal.

“I want some hardware,” Hughes said. “We were close to getting that last year. So now we know what it takes to get back to that stage. And if this is my last opportunity being a Buffalo Bill, I want to go out on top.”

As referenced there, the other interesting topic that Hughes provoked this week via video conference was the idea that he could be departing the team in the future. He admitted it has crossed his mind, but Hughes is trying to focus on the task ahead in the New England Patriots.
