Jamison Crowder exits Bills game, likely ending Jets career

Jamison Crowder has been ruled out for the rest of the Jets’ Week 18 clash with the Bills due to an injury. His Gang Green career may be over.

Jamison Crowder’s Week 18 return was short-lived, as he exited and was ruled out with the same calf injury that sidelined him for the Jets’ last two games midway through the second quarter.

Crowder caught one pass for 16 yards before departing and finishes the 2021 season with 51 receptions for 452 yards and two touchdowns. The veteran slot receiver finishes the season as New York’s leading wide receiver for the third straight season.

There is a chance Sunday was the last time Crowder suits up for the Jets, as he is set to hit free agency this offseason. Crowder is unlikely to be retained by New York with Elijah Moore waiting in the wings and Braxton Berrios also a free agent that stars on on special teams.

If Week 18 was indeed Crowder’s final game with the Jets, he’ll conclude his career with the team with 188 receptions for 1,979 yards and 14 touchdowns.
