Analyzing Tuesday’s Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Duke Blue Devils odds and lines, with college basketball expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (6-6, 0-2 ACC) take on the No. 2 Duke Blue Devils (11-1, 1-0) Tuesday in a 9 p.m. ET game at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C. Below, we look at the Georgia Tech vs. Duke odds and lines and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and bets.

Rankings courtesy of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.

Georgia Tech has struggled with a subpar offense that has been prone to too many turnovers and too few trips to the free-throw line. The Yellow Jackets have scored just 61.7 points per game while going 1-5 over their last six outings. They rank 12th in the ACC in free-throw attempts and 13th in turnovers.

The Blue Devils have won four in a row straight up and against the spread.  Duke is eighth in the nation with 85.3 PPG and has shot 53.8% from the floor over their win streak. The Blue Devils had a couple of road postponements last week; they hasn’t been away from Cameron Indoor Stadium since Nov. 30.

Duke hasn’t lost at home to Georgia Tech since 2003.

Prediction

Duke 81, Georgia Tech 62

Money line

The price on Duke is too high; the tag on Georgia Tech is too low. STEER CLEAR.

Against the spread

The Yellow Jackets are 0-5-1 ATS in their last six games as underdogs and the Blue Devils are 4-0-1 ATS in their last five home games. In this series, the favorite is 25-10 ATS in the last 35 meetings.

Duke hasn’t played since Dec. 22. Some rust is possible, but that’s perhaps counterweighted by the home hardwood in Durham and the fact the Yellow Jackets are coming off a hard-fought game 67-64 loss to Louisville Sunday.

The Devils have sizable advantages here in 3-point shooting, getting to the line, and the expected exchanges in turnovers and rebounds. It would take a slow-pace game with some significant shooting woes for Duke not to win by 16-to-19 points. DUKE -18.5 (-110) action is worth a partial unit.

Over/Under

The Over is 4-1 in Duke’s last five games as a home favorite.

The public looks to be somewhat in on a slower-pace-rusty-Duke angle. However, this Blue Devils’ team is diverse in how it can score, and it can pile up 7-10 points in bunches.

A final tally creeping into the mid-to-high-140s is likely enough. TAKE THE OVER 140.5 (-115).
