Giants are so bad even Johnny Manziel laughs off idea of playing for them

The New York Giants have become such an undesirable location that even former NFL QB Johnny Manziel laughed off the idea of playing for them.

The New York Giants are down and they are out. In fact, they are so down and out that former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel recently laughed off the idea of playing for them.

Following a 34-10 beatdown at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles, a fan tweeted at Manziel suggesting that perhaps he could save the Giants. And with Daniel Jones out for the season and both Jake Fromm and Mike Glennon struggling, why not?

Well, Manziel answered that question with a GIF of Cam Newton. And it spoke volumes.

Manziel, a 2014 first-round pick of the Cleveland Browns, has not taken an NFL snap since 2015. After his Browns career quickly fizzled, he bounced around in different leagues, including the CFL, AAF and the Fan Controlled Football League, where he still plays.

With most former players still looking to get back into the NFL, it speaks volumes about where the Giants currently are that someone like Manziel wouldn’t even consider it — not even hypothetically.

Even with the Giants unlikely to seriously consider Manziel at quarterback, they’ve reached a new low with him preemptively shutting the entire idea down.
