Jaguars Week 15 injury report: 5 starters miss Wednesday’s practice

EDGE Josh Allen (shoulder), LB Myles Jack (knee), OG Andrew Norwell (back), and DL Malcom Brown (toe) were the #Jaguars’ starters who missed practice Wednesday due to injury.

The Jacksonville Jaguars had seven players who missed practice Wednesday, four of which were starters and did so because of injury. Those four players were pass-rusher Josh Allen (shoulder), linebacker Myles Jack (knee), guard Andrew Norwell (back), and defensive lineman Malcom Brown (toe).

Additionally, two of the seven players held out simply sat to rest, and those players were receivers Tavon Austin and Marvin Jones Jr.

Allen, Jack, Brown, and Norwell were all on the injury report last week, but Norwell was on it because he was given Wednesday off to rest. Jack is likely to miss Thursday, too, as it was revealed that he and running back James Robinson would both miss the second practices of each remaining week.

Running back Carlos Hyde, who sustained a concussion Sunday against the Tennessee Titans after linebacker Derrick Robinson delivered a massive hit on him in the fourth quarter, didn’t practice either. Hyde was taken to the sideline by the doctors (under his own power) and didn’t return to the game.

Robinson (heel/knee) was among the group of players who were limited alongside center Brandon Linder (back), offensive tackle Jawaan Taylor (ankle), and guard Ben Bartch (back). Robinson. Linder, and Bartch are all players who were on the previous injury report, although Linder ended up not playing Sunday. However, this week it appears the veteran will be returning, which would be a huge addition for the offense.

As for the Houston Texans’ injury report, notables like running back Rex Burkhead (hip/quad) and defensive back Justin Reid (concussion/illness) didn’t practice and were among the nine players listed on the injury report. For more on their full report, head to Texans Wire.
