For one half of football, the Chicago Bears looked like a team that could compete with the Green Bay Packers.
The first half of Sunday night’s game between Chicago and Green Bay was entertaining for fans, especially considering many believed this was going to be a blowout from the start.
But from the Bears jumping out to an early lead to Chicago and Green combining for six touchdowns in the second quarter, including two scores by Jakeem Grant, it was certainly a fun half for Bears fans. And they weren’t alone.
Bears head coach Matt Nagy told NBC sideline reporter Kathryn Tappen that he was “having so much fun” during the first half. Unfortunately for Nagy, that didn’t age well as Chicago was outscored 24-3 in the second half.
Naturally, NFL fans had some fun with Nagy’s halftime remark about having fun, especially considering everyone knew it wouldn’t last long.
