Jags add RB BJ Emmons to their practice squad, release RB Jordan Wilkins

The Jacksonville Jaguars made a practice squad transaction Tuesday by adding a RB BJ Emmons, who played at Florida Atlantic in college.

The Jacksonville Jaguars made a change on their practice squad by switching out running back Jordan Wilkins for a new addition in running back BJ Emmons.

Emmons, 24, originally signed with the Seattle Seahawks this offseason as an undrafted free agent. He spent time on their practice squad as well as the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad before joining the Jags.

Before entering the league, Emmons attended Florida Atlantic University from 2019-20 and also spent time at Hutchinson Community College (as a sophomore) and Alabama (as a freshman). While with the FAU Owls, he was able to garner 88 carries for 353 yards and seven touchdowns.

Emmons will join Nathan Cottrell on the practice squad to give the Jags two running backs off the active roster.
