Jared Goff and the Lions got their first win in dramatic fashion and NFL fans loved it

The Lions did it!!!

It took nearly a calendar year, but the Detroit Lions are winless no more!

Yes, the Lions took home its first win on Sunday after a dramatic 29-27 walk off against the Minnesota Vikings on Jared Goff’s 11-yard touchdown pass to Amon-Ra St. Brown. With the victory, the Lions sit at 1-10-1 on the year, winning its first game in 364 days after yet another heart-wrenching season in Detroit.

And that heartbreak nearly continued on Sunday, as the Lions held a two-point lead inside the game’s final five minutes, but Goff was strip sacked on a fourth and one inside Detroit’s 30-yard line. The Vikings scored a touchdown to take the lead but failed the two-point conversion, leaving room for Goff and the Lions to find redemption.

With less than two minutes to play, Goff led the Lions down the field and on the game’s final play, fired home a perfect strike to St. Brown for the win.

The Lions really did it! What a moment, and what a call on Lions radio too.

And after throwing the winning touchdown, Goff immediately went to celebrate with head coach Dan Campbell, who was absolutely emotional about the team’s win given the heartbreak the Lions have endured this year.

NFL fans too were overjoyed for the Lions and Goff after the team nearly blew it moments before.
