Michigan State’s solid start to the 2021-22 season has resulted in the Spartans moving up the latest ESPN tournament bracket projection.

Joe Lunardi of ESPN released an updated bracketology post on Friday, which saw Michigan State as high as they’ve been all season long. The Spartans came in as a No. 4 seed in the East Region. Michigan State would play No. 13 seed Iona in this projected first round matchup.

Michigan State opened the season closer to the No. 7 and No. 8 seed line, but have played their way up the seed rankings thus far. The Spartans are only behind Purdue (No. 1 seed) as the highest Big Ten ranked seed in this latest projection.
