In Wisconsin’s first loss of the season, the absence of star wing Jonathan Davis was felt from the jump. The Badgers failed to generate enough offensive playmaking in a 63-58 loss to Providence. Wisconsin listed the injury to Davis as a lower body issue, and one that put the former La Crosse star as day-to-day.
When speaking with reporters earlier this week, Davis mentioned that he feared his foot injury could have been more serious than it turned out. The Badger star fortunately had x-rays that came back negative and he was determined good to go for the Maui Invitational.
Davis is set to play in Wisconsin’s opener on Monday when the Badgers take on Texas A&M in Las Vegas.
Johnny Davis says the foot feels good. He'll be ready to play against Texas A&M in the Maui Invitational. #Badgers
