Four players didn’t practice for the Jacksonville Jaguars Wednesday as the team prepared for the Indianapolis Colts. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence (ankle) and left tackle Cam Robinson (back) wasn’t among that bunch, though, as both were limited participants.
As fans witnessed Sunday against Buffalo, Lawrence sustained a low ankle sprain when Bills defensive end A.J. Epenesa backed Walker Little into the rookie signal-caller. He had to be helped off the field but was able to return to the game within a few plays.
As for Robinson, his back tightened up on him during warmups before Sunday’s game. However, Jags coach Urban Meyer said he was relieved to hear it was muscular-related and not structural.
As for the players who didn’t practice, two were starters in running back James Robinson (heel) and linebacker Myles Jack (knee). Robinson was expected to surface on the injury report after injuring his heel Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks and sitting out of Week 9’s game. Jack is a player that Meyer said would be “fine” but the staff was just being smart with.
Lastly, cornerback Chris Claybrooks (concussion) and defensive lineman Adam Gotsis (rest) were held out of practice. Claybrooks is obviously in the concussion protocol after sustaining his injury Sunday during the opening play of the third quarter.
As for the Colts, starting receiver T.Y. Hilton (concussion), guard Quenton Nelson (ankle/toe), and linebacker Darius Leonard (ankle) were all limited. Additionally, starting cornerback Xavier Rhodes (calf) and offensive lineman Braden Smith (elbow) was held out of practice. Information on their situations can be found on Colts Wire.
