Buffalo Bills sign CB Nick McCloud to practice squad

#Bills sign CB Nick McCloud to practice squad:

The Buffalo Bills have signed a slightly familiar face to their practice squad.

The team announced that cornerback Nick McCloud was signed to the taxi unit on Monday.

The defensive back was with the Bills (5-3) this summer.

Prior to training camp, McCloud signed with Buffalo as an undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame.

He had some solid showings in the preseason but was still cut at the end of training camp.

Considering his good impression, McCloud was likely to be signed to Buffalo’s practice squad at that point. However, the Cincinnati Bengals claimed him on waivers before the Bills could add him to the PS.

The Bengals went on to cut McCloud last week and now he’s back. The cornerback appeared in two regular season games for Cincy this season.

During the preseason in Buffalo, McCloud’s solid play was highlighted by an interception against the Chicago Bears.

McCloud signing comes after Buffalo cornerback Taron Johnson suffered a concussion and left the game due to a concussion vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars.
