Adam Hunsucker of the Daily Advertiser released some bold predictions for LSU basketball before the season gets underway.
The boldest prediction? LSU is going to make Sweet 16.
Hunsucker’s reasons are that the NCAA case surrounding the program will stretch all the way into the postseason, posing no threat to the Tiger’s postseason hopes and that the style of basketball Will Wade likes to play is not a fun matchup for opposing teams. “LSU is the only team to finish in the top four of the SEC in each of the past three seasons, so Wade has earned some benefit of the doubt,” Hunsucker said.
Personally, what I love about the past few LSU squads to hit the court is the athleticism. Building chemistry around a ground of guys that can run the floor, jump out of the gym, and be physical when they need to be on the defensive end is crucial for a deep March Madness run. I’m looking forward to watching this team develop over the course of non-conference play, which starts tonight.
