Defense was the name of the game for the New York Giants in their 23-16 win over the Las Vegas Raiders at MetLife Stadium.
Just when it looked like the Giants’ offense, Jason Garrett’s play calling and Joe Judge’s soft coaching would cost Big Blue a victory, the defense stepped up and saved the day.
There was no bigger star on defense than second-year safety Xavier McKinney, who was a flat-out ballhawk against the Raiders.
McKinney had a huge pick-six of Derek Carr that gave the Giants a 17-13 lead in the third quarter.
