The Jacksonville Jaguars and Buffalo Bills are currently “battling” in what has easily been the ugliest game in the 1 p.m. window.
How bad has it been? Jaguars kicker Matthew Wright missed three straight field goal attempts on basically the same play in the third quarter.
Here’s what happened: Wright first attempted a 42-yard FG that hit the upright and was no good. But the play had been called dead because of a false start by the Jags so Wright was saved by the whistle.
Then a few seconds later he missed a 47-yard attempt wide left. But Buffalo was called for running into the kicker on the play so Wright got another attempt.
He then missed the 42-yard FG wide left and with no penalties on the play he ran back to the bench going 0-3 (only 1 technically counted because of penalties) where he could think about what he had just done.
