All hope is not yet lost for the Jacksonville Jaguars’ top playmaker next to quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
Running back James Robinson is dealing with a foot injury, specifically his heel.
On Friday, the Jags labeled him as “questionable” to play.
Per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport early Sunday, Robinson will be testing things out prior to the game during warmups. If he’s feeling OK, he’ll be good to go:
#Jaguars RB James Robinson, dealing with a heel injury and listed as questionable, will test his foot this morning to see if he can go, source said. Coach Urban Meyer described it as a “pain threshold” issue.

If Robinson can play, he will certainly be a boost for Jacksonville. He has the ninth-most rushing yards in the NFL this season (482) and averages a solid 5.5 yards per carry.
Prior to kickoff at 11:30 a.m., both the Bills (5-2) and Jags (1-6) will release their game day inactive lists. If Robinson is active, that’s one step in the right direction for him.
He could also be active and still have a minimal role.
