To say Oregon and Anthony Brown needed this play could be an understatement.
In the Ducks’ best drive thus far, Brown found wide receiver Devon Williams for a 31-yard touchdown pass for the touchdown. It was Williams’ first catch of the day and just Brown’s sixth completion of of the half as Oregon takes the 10-9 lead.
It hasn’t been the best day for Brown so far, but hopefully a play like this will settle the sixth-year senior down for the rest of the game.
It was also, by far, the best drive for the Oregon offense as it went 76 yards in seven plays that took just over three minutes. The Ducks managed to get momentum on Washington’s previous possession as Oregon stuffed the Huskies on a 4th-and-1 play.
