WR Preston Williams and S Sheldrick Redwine not traveling with Dolphins

Williams and Redwine are out Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins will be without two players on Sunday for their Week 8 matchup against the Buffalo Bills, as NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has reported that both wide receiver Preston William and safety Sheldrick Redwine did not travel with the team.

Redwine was just signed this week with the news that defensive back Jason McCourty was going on injured reserve. It wasn’t likely that he would have much of a role if any at all if he had played this week.

Williams’ situation is interesting. This may mean that DeVante Parker, who has been battling a hamstring injury for the last three weeks, is ready to make his return. However, you’d think that Williams would still have a spot on the depth chart over guys like Albert Wilson and Isaiah Ford.

Neither player was on the injury report this week, so unless this is something that popped up afterwards, they seem to both be healthy scratches.
