Sixers coach Doc Rivers gives update on injured guard Shake Milton

Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers gives an update on injured guard Shake Milton.

The Philadelphia 76ers will continue with their schedule on Tuesday when they take on the New York Knicks on the road. This will wrap up a quick two-game road trip and they hope they will be able to sweep both of the games before returning home.

The Sixers are a little shorthanded as they are missing a certain 6-foot-10 All-Star, but they are also missing Shake Milton as well. The Sixers have been in need of another ball-handler as they are looking to help Tyrese Maxey out on the floor.

In terms of Milton, the Sixers are hoping he can return sooner rather than later. However, he does remain out on Tuesday.

“I always go by they (the medical staff) didn’t say anything to me,” said coach Doc Rivers. “So that means he’s not ready yet. They tell you when he’s ready and when he’s close and no one’s even broached the subject, but he clearly is moving better so I keep saying it can’t be far away.”

The Sixers and the Knicks will tip off at 7:30 p.m. EDT from Madison Square Garden. Philadelphia has beaten the Knicks 15 times in a row and will look to keep that streak intact.
