The Jacksonville Jaguars’ are currently on their bye week at the moment but that doesn’t mean they haven’t been active in terms of adding help. Specifically, on Friday, they added some help through the practice squad by rookie offensive lineman Coy Cronk, who previously was with the Green Bay Packers during training camp.
Cronk, 23, started his collegiate career at Indiana University (started in 40 games) and was there from 2016-19. He eventually left the Hoosiers as a graduate transfer to play for Iowa and was able to play in two games with them last year before suffering an ankle injury and missing the Hawkeye’s final six contests.
Cronk’s experience has been at the left tackle position, so it appears the Jags want him as a developmental player on the perimeter. He’ll be the third offensive lineman on the practice squad, joining Tre’Vour Wallace-Simms and Jared Hocker.
