The New York Giants’ Week 6 loss at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams really left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. But, with each passing loss, the Giants gain a few spots in the order of the first round of the 2022 NFL draft.
The Giants are currently slated to pick fifth overall, and with the Chicago Bears losing to the Green Bay Packers, they would also select 16th, according to Tankathon.
The Detroit Lions have the No. 1 overall pick being that they are winless at 0-6. The teams that are ahead of the Giants — the Jacksonville Jaguars, Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans — are tied with New York in terms of straight-up record (1-5).
However, the Giants fall to fifth because of strength of schedule, which is .540. The Dolphins (whose pick goes to the Philadelphia Eagles) are No. 2 at .459, the Jaguars are No. 3 at .465, and the Texans are No. 4 at .470.
