If your favorite team team is looking for a running back prospect in the 2022 NFL draft who can break off a big run every time he touches the ball, Michigan State’s Kenneth Walker III should be high on their list.
One of this year’s early front-runners for the Heisman Trophy, Walker is on a historic pace when it comes to making big plays on the ground. 26 of his carries this season have gone for 10 yards or more, which is tied for the most ever through six weeks (per Pro Football Focus).
Walker is a stout, powerful back with enough speed and explosiveness to go the distance, and the patience and vision to excel in traffic. Don’t be surprised if he’s one of the first backs off the board come next April.
