Sixers to be without Shake Milton, Seth Curry, Tobias Harris vs. Nets

The Philadelphia 76ers will be down three starters on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Philadelphia 76ers are a team that really needs the preseason to try and figure out how they will play and how they will look in their new system without Ben Simmons. There are a lot of issues that need to be addressed before opening night and that means the exhibition games are important.

It makes it tough whenever they have to play without any of their important players because they have to get everybody on the same page in live game action.

For example, Shake Milton is going to be a big player on this team heading into the 2021-22 season as he is in competition with Tyrese Maxey to see who will replace Simmons at the point guard spot. He suffered a right ankle sprain on Sunday at practice and he will miss Monday’s preseason matchup with the Brooklyn Nets.

This will give Maxey a look at the point guard spot, but it also means that coach Doc Rivers will have to play another style without Milton.

Along with Milton being out, Philadelphia will give Seth Curry a night off to rest and they will also be missing Tobias Harris due to his right knee soreness. Of course, the Sixers are still missing Simmons along with Matisse Thybulle and Grant Riller as well.

The Sixers and the Nets will face off at 8 p.m. EDT from the Wells Fargo Center on Monday.
