Giants’ Daniel Jones exits Week 5 game with head injury

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones was forced to leave Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys with what appeared to be a very serious injury.

One quarter after they lost running back Saquon Barkley to a serious ankle injury, the New York Giants also saw the exit of quarterback Daniel Jones.

Facing a third-and-goal from the one-yard line, Jones faked the handoff and ran left. With two Dallas Cowboys defenders in his way, Jones lowered his shoulder and tried to power his way in.

The helmet-to-helmet contact was significant and Jones was clearly in immediate pain.

As he attempted to get up and leave the field, Jones stumbled and nearly fell down. He was immediately helped by trainers but appeared to have no idea where he even was.

Jones was carted to the locker-room for additional testing but a return seems highly unlikely.
