With the preseason underway and the start of the NBA regular season around the corner, it’s time for the annual general manager survey.
John Schuhmann of NBA.com rounded up GMs from across the association to ask different questions about players and league predictions heading into the 2020-21 season. A member of the Golden State Warriors was mentioned up and down the list.
Steph Curry received votes from GMs in nine different categories. The two-time Most Valuable Player earned the most votes for best point guard (57%), player that forces opposing coaches to make the most adjustments (27%), best pure shooter (90%) and best player at moving without the ball (60%).
The seven-time All-Star guard also received votes in the player you want taking the shot with the game on the line (24%), player to win Most Valuable Player in 2022 (3%), best shooting guard and best leader.

After being named a finalist for the 2021 NBA MVP and winning the scoring title, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that Curry landed near the top in many categories of the GM survey.
Heading into his 13th campaign in the association, Curry is coming off a sizzling run in 2020-21. The Davidson product averaged 32 points per game on 48.2% shooting from the field with 5.8 assists, 5.5 rebounds and 1.2 steals per contest in 63 games.
