The New York Giants have feverishly worked to restructure several player contracts this season and that trend continued on Saturday.
Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports the Giants have reworked the deal of cornerback James Bradberry, clearing $2.7 million in salary cap space this year.
Giants are restructuring CB James Bradberry’s contract, per source. The move will create $2.7M in cap space this year. Giants were down to $563K in space according to the NFLPA database.
This is the second time in seven months the Giants have restructured Bradberry’s contact.

As Duggan notes, the Giants were below $600,000 in remaining cap space — a product of an offseason spending spree coupled with an overwhelming amount of injuries resulting in new signings.
Bradberry signed a three-year, $43.5 million deal with the Giants last year. He was named to the Pro Bowl in 2020 but has regressed a bit this season, allowing 17 receptions on 22 targets for 156 yards and three touchdowns.
