The New York Giants announced on Thursday that offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson has been officially signed to their practice squad. This comes less than two days after his tryout in East Rutherford.
The 22-year-old Wilson was a first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans in the 2020 NFL draft. He was a college teammate of left tackle Andrew Thomas at Georgia.

The 6-foot-6, 350-pound Wilson had an extensive battle with COVID-19 last season, spending time on and off of the Reserve/COVID-19 list between July and October. Then, in December, he was suspended one game for violating team rules.
After returning from his suspension, Wilson was promptly placed on the reserve/non-football illness list.
Additionally, Wilson was arrested for DUI in September of 2020 and again following a high-speed chase in Georgia this past January. Following that arrested, he sent and a deleted a tweet saying he’d never again play for the Titans.
He was correct and the Titans traded Wilson to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a seventh-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft. However, Miami released him after just three days citing that Wilson showed up late for his team physical and missed two workouts.
Earlier this week, Wilson posted a heartfelt message on his Instagram account as he sought a second chance.

Before the fame and the glamour, I was just a kid trying to make history as the best player out of New York City. I was the hope for my hood.
