Tennessee Titans wide receiver Josh Reynolds has been inactive in two of the three games this season. In Week 1, he was inactive due to injury, but in Week 3 Reynolds was a healthy scratch.
Even when he played in Week 2, Reynolds didn’t see the field much, logging just 11 snaps in the victory over the Seattle Seahawks. And, in those 11 snaps, Reynolds didn’t see a single target.
On Tuesday, Titans wide receivers coach Rob Moore admitted that Reynolds being active on gameday doesn’t just hinge on what he does as a receiver, but what he does as a special teams player as well.
#Titans WR coach Robb Moore says whenever you consider a guy on the cusp of being active, special teams are a factor. Moore says that’s a factor for Josh Reynolds despite some of the things he’s done in the WR room.

The Titans may have no choice but to ignore whatever the special teams issue is with Reynolds this week — and quite possibly for a few weeks — as the team might without A.J. Brown, who suffered a hamstring strain in Week 3 and is considered week-to-week.
If Reynolds does indeed get a chance for a week or two, he’s got to make the most of it or risk falling even further down in the pecking order with fellow wideout Marcus Johnson set to return from IR any day now.
