It has been a hotly contested race for in-state 4-star athlete Dillon Tatum of West Bloomfield High School. Both Michigan and Michigan State have see-sawed back and forth in the recruitment of the top talent.
At one point, Tatum was being recruited as a running back at the next level, but now he is solely being recruited as a safety or nickelback on defense.
The wait is finally over though, as Tatum has set a decision date and is gearing up to make his college decision.
I will be committing Wednesday September 29th at 7pm live on @CBSSportsHQ and on my Instagram live feed @dillontatum pic.twitter.com/PrvTrUThAl

Like previously stated, this has been a two team race between Michigan State and Michigan for a long time, but Tennessee and Iowa have recently entered the picture and could possibly throw a wrench in everything.
The Spartans are the perceived leaders for Tatum at this moment.
According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Tatum is a 4-star ranked the No. 266 player nationally and the No. 5 player in the state of Michigan.
