The Green Bay Packers took a second-half lead over the Detroit Lions on a laser-beam touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers to Robert Tonyan.
The 22-yard scoring play gave the Packers a 21-17 lead over the Lions in the third quarter.
Rodgers completed all three passes for 83 yards on the drive, including a 50-yard connection with Davante Adams to convert a 3rd-and-12. Three plays later, he beat a Cover-2 coverage with a perfect ball over the middle to Tonyan, who made the catch in traffic and rumbled into the end zone for six.
Tonyan had 11 touchdown receptions last season. This was his first of 2021.
Rodgers has completed 11 of 13 passes for 157 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions so far. His passer rating is 156.6.
