For the entire week, people had been skeptical about whether or not Daniel Jones can be the guy going forward for the New York Giants.
While it was only one game, and despite the Giants losing a heartbreaker, 30-29, Jones looked like a guy who can lead the Giants to victories on Thursday night.
At FedEx Field, Jones looked like the player the Giants drafted sixth overall in the 2019 NFL Draft as opposed to a guy whose future with a team is in jeopardy.
Jones went 22-for-32 with 249 yards and threw for a touchdown. He was also the leading rusher with nine carries for 95 yards and a touchdown.
Jones should have had two rushing touchdowns, but one got taken back by a penalty.
This epic Daniel Jones run didn't count…

This one, however, did count.

Jones also had a 33-yard pass to Darius Slayton for a touchdown too.

What was even better for Jones: no turnovers. No interceptions and no fumbles. Progress, folks.
So for at least one week, Jones looks like a competent NFL starting quarterback. Now he needs some wins to go with these games.
