Alabama linebacker Will Anderson is the star of the Crimson Tide defense. He is not only a force to watch on this team, but a potential top defensive player from across the whole nation. Early in the third quarter in Alabama’s Week 2 matchup against the Mercer Bears, Anderson went down with a knee injury and did not return for the remainder of the game.
Today, Nick Saban spoke with the media and gave an update on Anderson’s injury and his status for the Crimson Tide’s road matchup against the Florida Gators.
Fortunately, Anderson’s knee injury was not serious and Saban said that the team is “encouraged,” about his progress over the last few days, but is still considered day-to-day, according to Clint Lamb.
Nick Saban says Alabama feels more encouraged today about Will Anderson than they did following the game. He's considered day-to-day. Huge news for that Tide defense.
