On a busy Saturday in the EPL, Newcastle United (0 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw) travels to take on Manchester United (2-0-1). The match is set to kickoff at 10 a.m. ET at Old Trafford. Below, we preview the Newcastle United at Manchester United odds and lines, and make our best EPL bets, picks and predictions.
Newcastle United allowed multiple goals in every game and was shut out once. It allowed 4 once and 2 twice, so the defense clearly isn’t up to par. Newcastle lost to West Ham 4-2 and Aston Villa 2-0 while tying Southampton 2-2.
It is massive underdog this weekend and rightfully so. Manchester United is third on the table, having taken down Leeds United and Wolverhampton while also drawing Southampton.
It appears newly-transferred superstar F Cristiano Ronaldo will be making his debut, but it’s doubtful he plays a full 90 minutes.

Money line (ML)
PASS on the Manchester United money line.
The price -520 is just too much as both teams drew with Southampton. However, betting any of the other options also isn’t smart, especially as Man U is the home side.
There is a bet for BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE (+105). Newcastle scored in two of its three matches while Man U scored at least one in all three outings.
Given the offensive strength the teams have and the value given to that bet, this is a far better gamble than anything on the money line.
Over/Under (O/U)
BET on the UNDER 3.5 (-135) as that many goals at that value is a smart play. Man U hit Over 3.5 in one match and most recently defeated the Wolves just 1-0.
The Newcastle defense is worrisome, but its 2-2 draw with Southampton featured 2 goals in the 90th-minute stoppage. That’s not likely to happen again.
Following its first match, F Bruno Fernandes and M Paul Pogba haven’t been as dominant and Newcastle doesn’t have much outside of F Callum Wilson, who has 2 of his teams 4 goals on the season.
Regardless, Under 3.5 goals is good value, and I think it again should be the play.
