The Cincinnati Bengals ultimately decided to trade Billy Price to the New York Giants.
But they weren’t the only team interested in Price — and Price wasn’t the only name who came up in trade talks.
According to MMQB’s Albert Breer, New York and the Jacksonville Jaguars were calling teams like the Bengals about help. And besides Price, one of the names who came up was Michael Jordan.
Jordan was first on the depth chart at guard to start training camp but is firmly on the roster bubble now. And he’s now a name to watch in trade chatter before the Bengals have to cut the roster to 53 players by Tuesday afternoon.
Also of note, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the Bengals had Price’s name in talks for weeks, with a deal only coming to fruition right before the 53-man cutdown.
